CORONOVIRUS UPDATE

We are pleased to let you know that following government advice that with sensible protection measures in place work may be resumed, Blackmore Vale Foot Care will begin work again from Monday 18th May 2020.

Fewer clients will be visited each day and protective equipment will be worn by practitioners to include gloves, face masks, aprons and, in some instances, face visors. Strict hand washing and/or hand cleaning with sanitiser will be carried out.

Clients will be contacted to arrange appointments. Should you not want a visit at this time for any reason, please do not hesitate to let us know. However, should you need an urgent appointment and have not been contacted ring 01258 820203 and we will do our best to help.

**Please do let us know BEFORE WE VISIT YOU if you are unwell, develop a continuous cough, high temperature or other virus related symptoms. Also, please let us know if anyone you have been in contact with is diagnosed as having the coronavirus Covid-19. Thank you.

Should any practitioner develop similar symptoms we will, of course, contact you and rearrange your visit.

Thank you very much for your cooperation and we look forward to seeing you soon.

With best wishes,

Gillian, Rosie, Caroline and Anna.

Our Services

We provide treatment and advice for the following conditions :-
null

Diabetic Foot Care

It’s very important to look after your feet if you have diabetes as it can reduce the blood supply to your feet and cause a loss of feeling.
null

Corn Removal

When corns appear on weight-bearing areas of the foot, the pressure caused by the corn can make them very uncomfortable and quite painful to walk on.
null

Callus Reduction

Calluses are hard, thickened areas of skin. They are often found around the heel or under the ball of the foot as these areas take most weight when you walk.
null

Cracked Heels

Dry, cracked heels can be a source of pain and can look unsightly. Cracked heels are usually caused by dry, thickened skin splitting under pressure.
null

Nail Trimming/Thinning

Our nail cutting service is available to those who have impaired eyesight, reduced mobility because of arthritic changes, or an inability to reach their feet.
null

Ingrown Toenails

This develops when the sides of the toenail grow into the surrounding skin. The big toe is most commonly affected. The nail curls and pierces the skin, which becomes swollen.
null

Fungal Toenails

They’re not usually serious, but can be unpleasant and difficult to treat. The infection develops slowly and causes the nail to become thickened and distorted.
null

Athletes Foot

Athlete’s foot is caused by a fungus that usually appears between or under the toes or the bottom of the feet.
